The project carries a total investment of Dh2 billion.
Completion will occur in five phases over a span of four to five years, featuring a total of 5,100 villas and apartments. The first and second phases are slated for completion by 2023.
Handover is anticipated within a maximum of five years from the commencement of construction.
Groundbreaking for the Dh2 billion venture took place on December 14, 2019. Initially, the developer pledged to deliver the first phase by 2022.
VX Architects undertook the early concept designs for the project.
Phase one will comprise five buildings housing 912 units and 150 townhouses, while phase two will consist of four buildings accommodating 600 units and 92 townhouses.
The apartment buildings will feature fully-furnished studios and one-bedroom apartments, while the 694 townhouses will offer two, three, and four-bedroom layouts.
Situated adjacent to a potential future expansion of the Al Etihad Rail Line, though immediate construction plans for the line are absent.
In 2022, the masterplan’s northern segment underwent a complete redesign, now featuring high-density luxury townhouses surrounding a central park. Notably, the previously planned apartment buildings remain unbuilt and have been discarded.

Construction is underway on both phases one and two of MAG City, alongside the development of the project’s entire infrastructure.
June 2021
Five apartment buildings have reached their highest point of construction and are nearing completion, while an additional three buildings are in the early stages of development. Concurrently, construction is underway for the first row of townhouses situated at the south-western edge of the development.
Aug 2023
MAG has finalized the delivery of 546 townhouses, with plans to hand over an additional five buildings comprising 688 residential units by the end of October.

MASTERPLAN
The original masterplan for MAG City, unveiled at the project’s launch, was created by VX, with detailed design work managed by Parsons. This masterplan features residential blocks, townhouses, villas, a sales center, utility buildings, infrastructure, manicured gardens, and landscaping.
The community spans 406,000 square meters, with 4,800 square meters allocated to public facilities and 5,000 square meters designated for retail space.
